Standard & Poor’s Retirement Services Division purchased a technology to provide financial advice to 401k participants, they looked to Cornerstone to develop the technology into a web-based product for 401k providers. Given Cornerstone’s extensive experience in developing highly visible commercial products, we were selected to deliver the solution through our “product development service”.

Cornerstone designed a scalable, secure, n-tiered web-based application that transmits sensitive personal financial data and transactions over the internet capable of operating as an enterprise-based solution or an ASP-base solution.

Cornerstone assembled and managed a development team with the required skills to develop the product as per the business requirements. We occupied a space in a corporate facility and worked w/ the business sponsor to develop and deliver the product to market.

Our professionals designed and developed a secure server-to-server integration of participant data and transactions between various service provider’s record keeping applications and the product application server over public & private networks.

customer support

Cornerstone was responsible to install and support the product at customer sites. We worked together w/ corporate IT staff to pilot, deploy, upgrade, and maintain the necessary software application and infrastructure.


sales support

Cornerstone worked with S&P sales staff to qualify and close prospective customers. Our developers travelled to customer locations with S&P sales executives to providehands on sales support to customers. In many cases, we were able to gather project requirements on first visit and layout implementation and delivery schedules for customizations to the product on a per case basis.
